Amazon No Longer Preps Your Inventory. We Do.
As of January 1, 2026, Amazon no longer provides prep and item labeling services for FBA shipments in the U.S. store. Every unit now has to arrive labeled, packaged and ready to receive. 3PFL takes that work off your plate: we receive your inventory, prep each SKU to your approved SOP, check it, and ship it to Amazon against your shipment plan.
Because we are a full-service 3PL and not a table-and-tape prep shop, the same program can include QA inspection, serialized tracking, rework, and returns handling.
FBA Prep Services
FNSKU & Item Labeling
Scannable FNSKU labels applied to each unit, with existing barcodes covered or removed where required.
Label placement checked against your SKU rules.
Poly-Bagging & Warning Labels
Bagging for loose or exposed items, with suffocation warnings where Amazon requires them.
Bag size and opacity matched to the product.
Bubble Wrap & Protection
Protective wrap and packaging for fragile or high-value items so they survive inbound handling.
Built into the SKU's prep SOP.
Bundling, Sets & Multipacks
Combine units into a single sellable item and label it as a set, with a consistent build every time.
Kitting and assembly are part of our core work.
Carton Build & Labeling
Cartons packed to your shipment plan, with carton labels and box-content details matching what is inside.
Palletized or parcel, depending on your plan.
QA Inspection & Rework
Condition checks, counts and defect screening before units go out, plus rework or relabeling when something fails.
Documented QA steps, serialized when needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Amazon still prep FBA inventory for me?
For the U.S. store, no. Amazon stopped offering prep and item labeling services for FBA shipments on January 1, 2026, so units need to arrive fully prepared. You can prep in-house or use a provider like 3PFL.
Do you replace manufacturer barcodes with FNSKU labels?
Yes. We apply FNSKU labels per your SKU rules and cover or remove conflicting barcodes where required.
Do I keep control of my Seller Central account?
Yes. You create the shipment plan and own the account. We prep and ship against your plan.
Can you prep for channels other than Amazon?
Yes. The same SOP-driven workflow supports DTC orders, wholesale and retail routing-guide shipments, so one inventory pool can serve several channels.
What does FBA prep cost?
Pricing depends on your SKU mix, the prep steps each item needs, and volume. Send us your SKU list and we will quote it.
Need your inventory Amazon-ready?
Tell us what you sell and how it ships, and we will tell you quickly how we would prep it.
